on my Homepage i’ve the slider with the lastest articles of one special category. Now i can only exclude the hole category out of the lastest posts which are under my slider on the homepage. Is it possible to skip only a number of articles of the special category for the lastest posts? In my case only 2. So that the articles in the slider aren’t included in the lastest posts but the other posts of the special category aren’t excluded.
Currently, this theme doesn’t support exclude only 2 posts for latest posts.
But, I think you can use the solution like here:
1/ Create a new category. Example: “Slider” – and add 2 posts you want to display on the slider & exclude from the homepage to this category.
2/ Go to Customize > Featured Slider Options > on “Select Featured Category” > select category “Slider”, check to “Hide Featured Category” to hide this category on the front-end and check to “Exclude Featured Category From Latest Posts”

To add an new author, please go to admin page > Users > Add New
When you done, click to Users > All Users > hover on the author you want to edit/change/add profiles > Click edit. Scroll down and you will see options for Author Box and Role there.
You also can download & install plugin Simple Local Avatars – This plugin help you can change author avatar via an image from upload ( not need via Gavatar )
